Life is Short, Choose Wisely - and Use Spellcheck
Anyone who has checked out my Stories page lately will see that I am writing across several genres.
While I like fantasy and have written mostly fantasy stories over the years, I don’t think I write it particularly well. Over the past several months, I have started to write period genre (1890s Baltimore), Modern Detective Crime, and now modern suspense satire.
Why am I writing all over the place across genres? I am trying to find what I am good at. What is it that I write well and excel at? I find that while I like fantasy, I struggle with writing it, which takes away from the fun and sense of accomplishment.
Then, on the other hand, I seem to be able to sit down and crank out a few thousand words or more a day, as easily as a warm knife through butter, when I write period fiction and modern crime/suspense.
Here is what I am up to on my STORIES PAGE.
